Who we are

Frameroll ("Frameroll", "we", "us") provides personalised framed digital artwork. Frameroll is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice, which means we decide how and why it is used. You can reach us any time at hello@frameroll.co.

Information we collect

• Contact details — your name, email address and, if you complete our frame quiz, your phone number.
• Photographs you upload and the artwork created from them, together with the frame, size and placement choices you make.
• Order information — items ordered, order number, amounts, and the status of your order.
• Technical information — IP address, device and browser type, and basic usage information needed to run and secure the site.

Payment card details are never collected or stored by Frameroll. They are handled by our payment provider.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

• To create your artwork, take your order and deliver it — necessary to perform our contract with you.
• To send order confirmations, receipts and service messages — necessary to perform our contract with you.
• To keep the service secure and prevent fraud or misuse — our legitimate interests.
• To improve our frames and our website — our legitimate interests.
• To recommend frames through our quiz, and to send optional updates — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
• To meet tax, accounting and other legal duties — our legal obligations.

Who we share it with

• Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of our products, payment processing, invoicing, tax compliance and billing support.
• Service providers that host our site and database, store your artwork files, and send our emails, acting on our instructions.
• Professional advisers such as our accountants and lawyers, where needed.
• Authorities, where we are required to do so by law.

We never sell your personal information, and we never use the photographs you upload for marketing without asking you first.

International transfers

Our providers may process information outside your country, including outside the UK and EEA. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as required by tax and accounting law (normally seven years). Uploaded photographs and finished artwork are kept while your order is being fulfilled and for a reasonable period afterwards so you can re-download your artwork, then deleted or anonymised. You can ask us to delete your photographs sooner at any time.

Your rights

Subject to the law where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or transfer it to another provider. You can also withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@frameroll.co and we will respond within one month. If you are in the UK or EEA and are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls and private storage for uploaded photographs.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and local browser storage to keep your basket, saved frames and artwork in progress. These are required for the site to work. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear cookies and local storage at any time in your browser settings, although doing so will clear saved artwork in progress.
